The “Hit the North” street art festival 2022, which took place on Sunday the 1st of May at the Cathedral Quarter on Kent Street and Union Street in Belfast, has been a vital part of the city’s culture for a decade. It was produced by Seedhead Arts in collaboration with Hennessy and is the tenth time the annual exhibition was carried out. The exhibition included international street artists such as Lobster, Sophie Mess, KMG, Hixxy, Kenz and Kitsune. I spoke with Adam Turkington, Seedhead Art’s chief organiser, Bethany Smith, Seedhead Art’s Social Media Manager, as well as patrons of the event. As well as the history and their experience with the event, I asked them about their favourite art pieces.
