Underscore Media is an independent student news website based in Ulster University’s thriving School of Communication and Media. On these pages you will find dynamic, cutting edge journalism by UU students on the cusp of vibrant careers in the media industry. Underscore Media will create, challenge, change. We will give a voice to the voiceless, hold power to account and shine a light in dark places. We will never tire of seeking out authentic, lively, interesting stories and insightful and engaging content from across Northern Ireland. And we will be relentless in our endeavours to pursue innovative ways in which to tell those stories. We will be ceaseless in our championing of good journalism and of nurturing future media talent. We are devoted to the encouragement of student journalists and to lighting a path for those about to embark on the most exciting of careers.
