A popular seaside town in Northern Ireland, has been selected as one of the most welcoming places in the UK.
According to users of Booking.com Portstewart, on the North Coast is number 5 on the list.
This was based on more than 370 million verified reviews of visitors establishing their favourite spots and most outstanding hospitality and service to their preference.
Reporter Ellie Tyrie went out to a packed Portstewart to speak to the locals and got very positive views about the town and how welcoming locals believe the town is. One person said they ‘find Portstewart a really welcoming town’ and stated they think Portstewart is ‘quiet’ and they would ‘really recommend for students to live’.
A local business in Portstewart also commented that they ‘hope to see a rise in footfall’ due to this review and that the review would encourage them themselves to head into Portstewart more often.
