Rural Gaelic Club celebrate 100 years in existence

This year Brocagh GFC is celebrating its centenary. The small rural Gaelic club is situated on the shores of Lough Neagh and was established in 1923.

Brocagh GFC committee member Sean Donnelly spoke of the significance of a small club reaching such a milestone “it is an achievement when you see how many clubs fall by the wayside.” Former player and Captain Brian Dorman echoed this sentiment “it’s great to see after 100 years the club is still going strong.”

Sean spoke of how club continues to remain the hub of the community with “it is the life and soul of the community.” Brian added “It is still such an important part of the community.”
